Driers should be changed when you changing refrigerant types, oil types, the drier is over 4 years old, when their are signs of excessive moisture in the system (expansion valve sticking), signs of contamination such as debris or gelled oil, or you have had a compressor break down or lock up.

    It fit and seemed to require much moving or did not fit easily. This may be the case with other receivers / dryers as well. It appears to be well made. Shipping is outrageous no matter where you live. Griff needs to look into alternative shipping options or negotiate with UPS.

    John, Thank you for the feedback. We have sold approx 400 units of the same drier over the past 21 years. The drier is basically the same size as OEM, however, things are rather tight in the 964.
    I agree that the UPS shipping rates from NJ to HI are quite high indeed. And, we do have a discounted rate with them. However, if you are seeing lower shipping rates, such as with Amazon or a major auto parts retailer, it is simply because their shipping volumes are much much larger. Griff

    Fitment can be tight due to location. This is the second time I installed this. Carefully thread the lines on by hand then use a short or stubby 19 mm open end wrench to tighten.
