Griffiths' Front Condenser Motor and Blower for the Porsche 91162401301 blower housing. Kuehl's 'Bosch style' motor with new blower wheel pre-attached. Why struggle with trying to take your blower wheel off a burnt out motor. We made it easy.- Replaces the electrical motor with new blower wheel inside a housing adjacent to the battery; accessed from the front trunk
- No more worries about damaging the original blower wheel when replacing motor. Simply drop in the new motor and wheel assembly
- Includes New Motor, Griffiths Blower Wheel, Griffiths in-line fuse assembly harness, sealing gasket material for housing to tub bottom, and enough instructions but not enough to bore you.

- Verify the configuration of your blower housing. Some model years prior to 1974 have a metal blower housing and 1975 onward have a plastic blower housing. This motor/blower assembly is designed for the plastic blower housings.

While a little on the pricey side (the motor alone can be purchased for $89.00), this is the best repair kit I have ever purchased. All of the needed pieces including new foam gasket. They even include an inline fuse receptacle piece. I originally purchased just the motor elsewhere but unfortunately damaged the blower fan wheel getting it off my old motor, so had to purchase this to replace the fan wheel.

The Original Unit Worked Properly Since 1986, But Recently Started to Squeal a Little Bit, however it still worked fine, so it wasn’t at the top of my to-do list. I knew it was just a matter of time before I had to tinker with it or replace it. The enhanced performance of Griffith’s new unit literally blew me away. It exceeded my greatest expectations, that I wish I had replaced the old one many years ago, it is that good. But recently the blower began to squeal a bit, nevertheless it still worked fine, so it wasn’t at the top of my to-do list. I knew it was just a matter of time before I had to tinker with it or replace it. The new blower is identical to my old blower motor unit; however, the enhanced performance of Griffith’s new blower motor unit literally blew me away. It exceeded my greatest expectations, so much so that I wish I had replaced my older one many years ago, it is that good. If you’re on the fence about this product, I recommend you get one if you have an older model, whether you need one or not.

Unit works as advertised. Could have purchased only the motor, but learning I was likely to destroy the squirrel cage going that route I opted to buy the whole unit. Cannot tell it is “better” than a working stock unit since the barrier hoses alone I installed earlier made the A/C very much functional in Central Florida.
