- O-ring Set
- 1) If you plan to continue to use R12 refrigerant, OR, if youare converting from R12 over to R134a, then we suggest you pick Ester oil.
- 2) If you car has already been converted to R134a then the type of oil could be either Ester or PAG. If the conversion procedure was well documented then there should be a “blue” colored R134a refrigerant sticker somewhere in the engine compartment noting the type of oil, or the service work order or invoice might note the type of oil, or you could contact the service facility whom did the work and ask them, or contact the previous owner.

Doesn’t come with the manifold, so make sure you keep the old one from your car’s compressor. Otherwise, it bolts up just fine since this is OEM.
John, Thanks for the positive feedback. On the special Porsche factory manifold (what 2 ac hoses bolt onto on the compressor). Yes, you need to reuse your original
factory compressor manifold as noted in the installation instructions. We made a note on the product webpage. Best regards Griff.

So far, so good. Flushed the old system, replaced compressor, HP barrier hose, drier and all o-rings. Griffiths kit and included instructions were great, easy to follow and very informative! Charged with 28oz R134 and during an 80°+ day, I’m getting 37° at my center register. Recently had a couple 95° days and Im still in the low 40’s. Im extremely happy and hope the system continues to perform this well. Thank you!

Got my Ac in 85.5 944 working again thanks to this kit, I ordered Griffiths Condenser too because old had some leaks. Instructions were clear and detailed even for someone without automotive ac system repair experience. The only item that needed some creative work was new Khuel ac dryer that is smaller in diameter than OEM and original clamp doesn’t hold it tight enough. Overall great quality kit.

But we did include a foam strip with an adhesive back to wrap around the drier so it does fit tight in the clamp.
