Griffiths Kuehl Brand 94457320100 Porsche 944, 951, 968-92, Expansion Valve. Fits 1985/2 through 1992 years of the 944 and 951 models, and 1992 year 968 model. The top copper tube is hermetically sealed and has a coil or pig tail on the end. The pig tail is clamped onto the top of the evaporator outlet pipe to sense outlet temperature. Symptoms of Expansion Valve failures include freezing evaporator core, flooding evaporator core, excessive low and high side pressures. Before you replace your expansion valve you should trouble shoot similar symptoms to determine if your valve is failing. Expansion Valve with new o-rings, sensor clip and prestite black insulation tape.- Also called a "TXV" or thermostatic expansion valve
