Great repair set and great service. Replied to my question how to assemble the seal immidiatly and with detailed instructions and pictures. Highly recommended. AC is runnig well now!
Laust –
The seal kit works well. I now have cold air in my 944T for the first time in many years.
Pierre Benoit –
ok

Again, directions were detailed and every o-ring and part was included. After the rebuild, it was determined that the compressor was leaking and not repairable. Griff had a new one in stock and amazingly, I had it the day after I ordered it.
Tim J. –
Resealed the compressor and it seems to be functioning well with no leaks.

For my 944 AC, the only game in town in my opinion! Thank you!!

Worked very well
Adrian Redding –
Very good value. Worked well until the shaft seal failed after two months , this could be due to assembly or the shaft being worn even though it all looked prefect when installing.
Guillaume D. –
Top! it fit perfectly.
Griff –
I would not fault the seal kit. When we used to rebuild the Denso compressor, approximately 300+ units, using the same seal kit, we had 1 failure in 200, and it was a ‘user’ issue. Most failures occurring after you have run the system for awhile are either the wrong side of the “race” facing the carbon, torn race o-ring, cracked carbon, corrosion on shaft or high head pressures.
Melvin Hicks –
All parts are included to rebuild the compressor. I replaced mine in the end since it appeared worn.
Andrew Sutton –
Glad I found this kit to reseal the AC compressor in my 1987 Porsche 924S! Great quality, for a fraction of replacing the compressor with a new unit. Thank you!

I think it’s very good. There is no problem using it

easy to install but I still have a shaft leak with oil spray under hood. however thats probably shaft wear
Griff –
Causes of continued oil loss at the compressor nose area can be:
1) The carbon was damage when installing.
2) The ‘race’ that rides against the carbon was inserted backwards.
3) The o-ring surrounding the race was sheared when it slides past the snap ring groove in the bore
4) Corroded shaft
5) Your system pressures are too high or you had a ‘burp’; a short spike in pressures that are too high (overcharge, leaving the engine deck lid up too long, front condenser blower motor not working).

The kit seemed fine, however, beware that even if you have a 10p15 Nippondenso compressor in your Porsche, this may not work. Mine uses a different shaft seal, more like a typical rubber lip oil seal, and this carbon face seal would not fit. Fortunately they took it back.

This kit worked on 1989 BMW 325is with 10P15

had everything i needed to rebuild the compressor. everything fit nice. the big seals on the compressor shell were a little loose but i think that’s by design. 1 week later and it’s still running strong with no leaks
